If you are driving from the center of Vechtstreek, head towards the A2 highway. Follow signs for Amsterdam. Merge onto the A2 and continue for about 25 kilometers. Take exit 1 towards S112/A10 in the direction of Amsterdam-Centrum. Once on the S112, follow the road until you reach the A10 ring road. Take exit 15 towards Zeeburg and continue onto the Wibautstraat. Follow the Wibautstraat until it becomes the Amsteldijk. Continue straight onto the Sarphatistraat and then turn left onto the Mauritskade. Continue until you reach the Scharrebiersluis at 1018 AB Amsterdam.

To reach Scharrebiersluis by public transport, take a train from the nearest train station in Vechtstreek to Amsterdam Central Station. Once you arrive at Amsterdam Central, exit the station and head to the tram stop located outside. Take tram 26 towards IJburg and get off at the stop 'Mr. Visserplein'. From there, walk towards the Amsteldijk, turn left, and continue straight until you reach Scharrebiersluis at 1018 AB Amsterdam. The total journey should take around 45 minutes.
