If you're traveling by car, start by heading towards the A50 motorway. From any location in Veluwe, navigate to the nearest access point to the A50. Once on the A50, drive towards Arnhem, and then take exit 23 towards Rheden. Follow the signs for Rheden, and continue on the N348 road. As you approach Rheden, look for signs directing you to Herikhuizerveld. There are parking areas available near the entrance of the national park, and parking fees may apply, typically around €2 to €5 for the day.

For those using public transportation, find your way to a nearby train station that connects to the Dutch railway network. The nearest major train station is in Arnhem. From Arnhem, take a train towards Rheden (approximately a 10-15 minute journey). Upon arrival at Rheden station, exit the station and look for bus line 51, which will take you closer to Herikhuizerveld. The bus ride should take around 10 minutes. Be sure to check the local transport schedule for bus timings, and keep in mind that a bus ticket will typically cost around €2.50 to €4.
