Car
Start by driving from the center of Volendam towards the N518 road. Follow the signs for Edam and then merge onto the N247 towards Alkmaar. Continue on N247 for approximately 25 kilometers. Once you reach Alkmaar, follow the signs for the city center. As you approach Alkmaar, take the exit towards the city center (follow signs for Centrum). After exiting, turn right onto Laan van de Dijken. Continue straight until you reach the Vismarkt, which will be on your left. There is parking available nearby.

From Volendam, head to the nearest bus stop and take Bus 110 towards Amsterdam. Ride the bus for about 20 minutes and get off at the bus stop 'Alkmaar, Station'. From there, transfer to Bus 5 towards 'Alkmaar, Centrum'. This bus will take you directly to the city center. Get off at the stop 'Alkmaar, Vismarkt'. The Vismarkt is located right in front of you once you exit the bus. You will find the market square bustling with activity.
