Car
To reach the Eye Film Museum from Zaanse Schans by car, start by heading south on the N246. After approximately 10 km, merge onto the A8 motorway towards Amsterdam. Continue for about 12 km, and then take exit 14 toward Amsterdam-Centrum. Follow the signs to the IJpromenade, where the Eye Film Museum is located. There may be parking available nearby, but be aware that charges may apply. Expect to pay around €2.50 per hour for parking.

To travel to the Eye Film Museum from Zaanse Schans using public transport, first head to the nearest bus stop, and take bus 391 towards Amsterdam. Get off at Amsterdam, Centraal Station. From there, walk towards the ferry terminal (it’s a short walk). Take the free ferry to Amsterdam Noord, which runs frequently. Once you arrive in Amsterdam Noord, exit the ferry and follow the signage to IJpromenade, which is about a 10-minute walk. Note that the bus ticket will cost around €5-€6.
