Car
From Zaanse Schans, take the N8 road towards Amsterdam. Continue on N8 and then merge onto the A8 motorway towards Amsterdam. After approximately 10 kilometers, take exit 2 toward Amsterdam-Centrum. Continue on the S100 and follow signs for Haarlemmerplein. The Haarlemmerpoort is located at Haarlemmerplein 50, 1013 HS Amsterdam. There may be parking available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking fees.

From Zaanse Schans, walk to the nearest bus stop, Zaanse Schans, and take bus line 391 towards Amsterdam Sloterdijk. After about 30 minutes, get off at the stop called Amsterdam, Sloterdijk. From there, transfer to tram line 12 towards Amsterdam, Amsterdam, Central Station. Get off at the Haarlemmerplein stop. The Haarlemmerpoort is a short walk from the tram stop, located at Haarlemmerplein 50, 1013 HS Amsterdam. A single bus or tram ticket costs around €3.20.

If you're feeling adventurous, you can rent a bicycle in Zaanse Schans and ride to Haarlemmerpoort. The ride is approximately 10 kilometers and takes about 30-40 minutes.
