Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from Zaanse Schans to KattenKabinet, head southeast on Zaanse Schans towards the N515 road. Merge onto the N516 and take the A8 highway towards Amsterdam. Continue on the A10 ring road and take the exit for S106 towards Amsterdam-Zuid. Follow the signs for Amsterdam-Centrum and merge onto the S100. After several kilometers, turn right onto Herengracht. The KattenKabinet will be on your left at Herengracht 497. Note that parking in Amsterdam can be expensive, so check for nearby parking garages.

  • Public Transportation

    For public transportation, start at Zaanse Schans station (Zaandijk Zaanse Schans). Take the train to Amsterdam Central Station. From there, take tram line 2 towards Nieuw Sloten and get off at the 'Keizersgracht' stop. Walk along Keizersgracht towards Herengracht, then turn left onto Herengracht. The KattenKabinet will be located at number 497. Ensure you have a valid OV-chipkaart for the train and tram rides, and the total cost is approximately €7.50 for a single journey.
