Getting There

Walking
If you're starting from Amsterdam Centraal Station, exit the station and head south towards the water. Cross over the bridge (Pillars of the bridge are labeled 'Johan van Hasselt') and continue along the waterway until you reach the Damrak. Turn left onto the Damrak and walk towards Dam Square. At Dam Square, you will see the Royal Palace on your left. From here, head southeast towards Rokin Street. Continue walking straight on Rokin until you reach the intersection with Vijzelstraat. Turn right onto Vijzelstraat and continue straight for about 10 minutes. Look for the signs pointing towards Rembrandtplein, and you will eventually see the Rembrandt Monument in the center of the square.

Tram
From Amsterdam Centraal Station, take tram line 4, 9, 16, or 24 from the tram stop located directly outside the station. Get off at the 'Rembrandtplein' stop. Once you disembark, you will see the square in front of you. Walk towards the center of Rembrandtplein, where the Rembrandt Monument is located. It's a short walk of only a minute or two.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from any of the bike rental shops around Amsterdam. Starting from Amsterdam Centraal Station, head south along the bike path towards the water. Follow the path along the waterway, then merge onto the Damrak cycling lane. Continue down to Dam Square, then take the cycling path southeast onto Rokin Street. When you reach the intersection with Vijzelstraat, turn right and follow the road until you reach Rembrandtplein. There is ample bike parking available around the square.
