Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Zaanse Schans, head south on Zaanweg/N203 towards Zaandijk and follow it for about 4.5 km. Merge onto A8 towards Amsterdam and continue for 7 km. Take the exit towards A10 and then merge onto A10. Take exit 14 towards Amsterdam-Noord and follow the signs for NDSM. Once in the area, follow the signs to NDSM-Plein 85, where the NDSM Loods is located. Please note that parking may incur costs, typically around €1.50 per hour.

  • Public Transportation

    From Zaanse Schans, walk to the nearest bus stop (Zaanse Schans) and take bus line 391 towards Amsterdam. After approximately 20 minutes, get off at the stop 'Amsterdam, Buikslotermeerplein'. From here, take the free ferry from Buiksloterweg to NDSM Werf. The ferry ride takes about 15 minutes. Once you disembark, follow the signs to NDSM-Plein 85. Please be aware that the bus ticket will cost around €3.20, while the ferry is free.

    For a more adventurous route, rent a bike in Zaanse Schans and cycle towards Amsterdam. Head south on Zaanweg/N203 for about 4.5 km, then take the bike path to the A8. There are designated bike lanes leading into Amsterdam. Once you reach Amsterdam, follow the signs to NDSM. This route takes about 30-40 minutes and allows you to enjoy the scenic views along the way. Be sure to check for bike rental prices, which typically are around €10-€15 per day.
