If you're driving from Zaanse Schans to Vismarkt in Alkmaar, start by heading southwest on Zaanse Schans towards the N516 road. Merge onto N516 and continue for about 4 kilometers. Then, take the exit onto A8 toward Amsterdam/Alkmaar. Continue on A8 for about 15 kilometers, then take the exit toward Alkmaar. Merge onto N242 and follow signs for Alkmaar. Once in Alkmaar, follow the signs for the city center. Vismarkt is located at 1811 JA Alkmaar, and you should find parking options nearby.

To reach Vismarkt in Alkmaar from Zaanse Schans using public transportation, first, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the main road. Take the bus towards Amsterdam Sloterdijk and alight at Amsterdam Sloterdijk station. From there, catch a train to Alkmaar. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Alkmaar train station, exit the station and walk towards the city center. Vismarkt is approximately a 15-minute walk from the station. Head northwest on Stationsweg, then turn left onto Verdronkenoord. Continue onto Bovenlander and follow the signs to Vismarkt at 1811 JA Alkmaar.
