Walking
If you're already in Zaanse Schans, the Cooperage (De Kwakels 2, 1509 BX Zaandam) is about a 15-minute walk from the center of the village. Start at the Zaanse Schans visitor center and head south towards the main road (Zaanse Schansweg). Turn left onto Zaanse Schansweg and continue straight until you reach the intersection with De Kwakels. Take a right onto De Kwakels, and Cooperage will be on your left.
Bicycle
Bicycles are a popular way to explore Zaanse Schans. Rent a bike from one of the local rental shops. From the Zaanse Schans visitor center, head south towards Zaanse Schansweg. Turn left and cycle until you reach the intersection with De Kwakels. Turn right onto De Kwakels, and you will find Cooperage on your left. The ride should take about 5-10 minutes.
Public Transportation
If you are coming from Amsterdam, take the train from Amsterdam Central Station to Koog-Zaandijk Station. The train ride takes approximately 20 minutes. From Koog-Zaandijk Station, you can either walk (about 15 minutes) or take a local bus (line 391) to Zaanse Schans. Once you arrive at Zaanse Schans, follow the walking directions mentioned above to reach Cooperage.
Car
If you are driving, head to Zaanse Schans from Amsterdam via the A8 and A7 highways. Follow the signs for Zaanse Schans and park in one of the designated parking areas. From the parking area, it's a short walk (about 10 minutes) to Cooperage. Head towards Zaanse Schansweg and follow the same walking directions to reach Cooperage.
