Car

From Zaanstreek, start your journey by taking the A8 motorway towards Amsterdam. Continue on the A8 and merge onto the A10 ring road. Follow the signs for A1 towards Amersfoort. After about 20 kilometers, take exit 9 for Muiden. Follow the signs towards Muiden, and then take Herengracht. Muiderslot will be on your right at Herengracht 1, 1398 AA Muiden. There may be parking available near the castle, but check local regulations as some areas may require a fee.

Public Transportation

To reach Muiderslot via public transport, take a train from Zaanstreek to Amsterdam Central Station. From there, transfer to a train headed towards Weesp. After about 20 minutes, get off at Weesp Station. From Weesp, take bus number 120 towards Muiden. Disembark at the 'Muiden, Herengracht' stop. Muiderslot is just a short walk from the bus stop, located at Herengracht 1, 1398 AA Muiden. Be aware that train and bus tickets will incur costs, which can vary depending on your travel class and time.

Bicycle

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike in Zaanstreek. Head southeast towards Amsterdam and follow the bike paths along the scenic routes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Muiden. The ride may take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours depending on your pace. Once you arrive in Muiden, park your bike in designated areas near Muiderslot at Herengracht 1, 1398 AA Muiden.
