Start your journey at the Nevada State Capitol, located at 101 N Carson St. Head north on Carson St towards W 2nd St. Turn left onto W 2nd St and follow it until you reach N Carson St. Here, turn right and continue walking until you reach the intersection with E William St. Turn left onto E William St and continue straight until you reach the end of the road where you will find the entrance to the Carson City Urban Trail. Follow the trail that leads towards the east, which will eventually take you closer to Lake Tahoe. The trail will lead you through beautiful natural scenery and will eventually connect you to other hiking trails.

Public Transportation and Walking
Take the local bus route (check the Carson City RTC transit schedule for the latest routes and times) towards the south of Carson City. Get off at the stop closest to Lake Tahoe, which is the 'Lakeview' stop. From there, follow the signs that lead to the hiking trails down to Bonsai Rock. It will be a short walk from the bus stop through the scenic paths.
