Getting There

• Walking

  If you're in the downtown area of Carson City, start by heading west on E Robinson St towards S Curry St. Continue straight until you reach S Carson St and turn left. Walk down S Carson St and follow it as it curves slightly to the right and becomes US-395 N. After about 1 mile, you will reach a roundabout. Take the second exit to stay on US-395 N and follow the signs for Virginia City. After approximately 12 miles, you will arrive in Virginia City. Continue on NV-341 N until you reach E D St. Turn left onto E D St and walk for three blocks until you see Chollar Mansion at 565 D St on your right.

• Public Bus

  From your location in Carson City, head to the nearest bus stop for the Carson City Public Transit. You can catch the Route 1 bus towards 'Virginia City'. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes or until you reach the Virginia City stop. Once you get off the bus, walk north along NV-341 for about 5 minutes until you reach E D St. Turn right onto E D St and walk for about three blocks until you arrive at Chollar Mansion located at 565 D St.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer biking, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Carson City. Start your journey by heading west on E Robinson St toward S Curry St. Continue straight to S Carson St and turn left. Then, follow S Carson St as it merges with US-395 N. Ride for about 12 miles toward Virginia City. Once you reach the roundabout, take the second exit to stay on US-395 N. After entering Virginia City, continue on NV-341 N until you reach E D St. Take a left onto E D St, and Chollar Mansion will be on your right after three blocks at 565 D St.
