You will need to transfer at the Reno bus station to another bus heading to Truckee. Once you arrive in Truckee, ask for directions to Donner Lake, which is a short walk from the bus station.

You can rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Carson City. Start by heading to the Carson City Bicycle Shop located on 8th Street. From there, take the bike path heading north towards Lake Tahoe. Follow the signs for Truckee, which is approximately 30 miles away. The ride will take a few hours, so plan accordingly and enjoy the scenic views along the way.

If you're feeling adventurous and are up for a long hike, you can embark on a walking journey. Start at the Nevada State Capitol at 101 North Carson Street, and head north through the streets of Carson City towards the Carson River. Follow the river trail which leads you towards the northern part of town. Continue through the paths and trails towards Lake Tahoe. Please note this is a very long walk (over 30 miles) and is best suited for experienced hikers.
