Follow NV-306 S for about 45 miles until you reach Austin, NV. Once in Austin, turn onto Stokes Castle Road, a small unpaved road leading directly to Stokes Castle. The castle is about 1 mile down this road. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for unpaved roads, as they can be rough.
Public Transportation
Public transportation options are limited in Central Nevada. However, you can take a regional bus service to Ely, NV. Check schedules with Greyhound or regional transit services. Once in Ely, you will need to hire a taxi or use a rideshare service to get to Austin, NV, which is around 90 miles away. From Austin, you can either walk to Stokes Castle or use a local taxi service for the final mile.
Biking
For the adventurous, biking from Ely is an option. Take US-50 W to NV-306 S. The ride is approximately 45 miles and can be challenging due to the terrain. Ensure you are prepared with water, snacks, and repair kits. Once you reach Austin, continue biking to Stokes Castle, located about 1 mile from the main road. Be cautious of the unpaved road conditions.
