Car
To reach Cave Rock State Park via car, head towards Highway 50 in Douglas County. If you're starting from the town of Minden, take US-395 North and merge onto Highway 50 East, following signs for Lake Tahoe. Continue on Highway 50 for approximately 14 miles until you reach Glenbrook, NV. The park entrance will be on your right. Be mindful that there may be parking fees, typically around $10 per vehicle, which can vary by season.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the Douglas County Public Transit (DCPT) bus service to the Stateline area. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the final 10 miles to Cave Rock State Park, as public transit does not directly service the park. Expect to pay approximately $20-$30 for the rideshare or taxi, depending on the service and time of day.
Biking
For the adventurous, biking to Cave Rock State Park is an option. From Minden, you can cycle along Highway 395 to Highway 50 East. The ride is approximately 14 miles and will take you through some scenic areas. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic laws. There are bike lanes available, but always stay alert for vehicle traffic.
