If you are driving from Stateline, NV, take US-50 E toward Carson City. Continue on US-50 E for about 14 miles until you reach the junction with NV-395 N. Merge onto NV-395 N and continue for approximately 18 miles. Take the exit toward US-395 N/US-50 E, then merge onto NV-341 N. Follow NV-341 N for about 8 miles until you reach Virginia City. Once in Virginia City, turn right onto C St, and you will find The Way It Was Museum located at 113 C St on your right.

If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Stateline to Carson City. Check the local bus schedule for the exact routes and times. Once in Carson City, transfer to the bus heading toward Virginia City. The bus will drop you off near the town center of Virginia City. From there, it is a short walk: head west on E Carson St, then turn right onto C St. The Way It Was Museum is located at 113 C St, just a block away from the bus stop.

If you are coming from Minden or Gardnerville, take NV-88 N to NV-395 N. Merge onto NV-395 N and follow it for about 10 miles. Take the exit for NV-341 N toward Virginia City. Continue on NV-341 N for about 8 miles until you reach Virginia City. When you arrive in Virginia City, turn right onto C St, and you will see The Way It Was Museum at 113 C St on your right.
