Car
From Stateline, NV, head north on US-50 E/W Lake Tahoe Blvd. Follow signs for US-50 E. Continue for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with NV-207. Turn left onto NV-207 (Kingsbury Grade) and continue for about 5 miles. After reaching the top of the grade, turn right onto NV-206 (Foothill Rd). Continue for about 1 mile, then turn left onto Geo Whittell Rd. Follow Geo Whittell Rd for approximately 1 mile until you reach Thunderbird Lodge Lake Tahoe.

Take the Douglas County Public Transit (DART) from your location in Douglas County to the closest stop near Stateline, NV. From there, you will need to take a local taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to reach Thunderbird Lodge Lake Tahoe, as public transit does not directly service the lodge. The estimated taxi fare may range from $15 to $25 depending on the distance from the DART stop to the lodge.

If you are feeling adventurous and have a bicycle, you can ride from Stateline, NV. Start on US-50 E/W Lake Tahoe Blvd, then take NV-207 (Kingsbury Grade). It's a steep ride, so be prepared for a challenge. Once you reach the top, follow the same route down as mentioned above: turn right onto NV-206 (Foothill Rd), and then left onto Geo Whittell Rd. The total distance is about 15 miles one way. Make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic.
