If you are driving from South Lake Tahoe, take US-50 E towards Stateline. Merge onto NV-207 E (Kingsbury Grade) and continue until you reach the junction with US-395 N. Take US-395 N for about 10 miles. Exit onto NV-431 W (Mount Rose Highway) and follow this road for about 5 miles. You'll then take a left onto Geo Whittell Rd. Follow Geo Whittell Rd for about 1 mile, and the Thunderbird Lodge will be on your right. Parking is available on-site.

From Stateline, take the Douglas County Public Transit (DART) bus towards Minden. Get off at the 'Minden' stop and transfer to the 'Carson City' bus. From Carson City, take the 'Reno' bus to the stop near US-395. From there, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to reach Thunderbird Lodge, as public transport does not go directly to the lodge. Note that the bus fare is approximately $2.00 per ride.
