Getting There

Bus
From downtown Sparks, walk to the nearest bus stop on Victorian Avenue. Take the RTC bus route 11 towards 'South Virginia'. This route will take you towards the greater Reno area. After about 30 minutes, get off at the 'Reno-Sparks Convention Center' stop. From there, transfer to bus route 19 towards 'Lake Tahoe'. Stay on this bus for approximately 60 minutes until you reach the 'Glenbrook' stop. Once you alight, Skunk Harbor is about a 2-mile walk from the bus stop. Head west on Glenbrook Road, then follow the signs to Skunk Harbor.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Sparks. Start your journey by heading south on Pyramid Way. After about 3 miles, turn left onto NV-659 (Lake Tahoe Boulevard). Follow this road for about 5 miles, where you will see signs for Glenbrook. Once you reach Glenbrook, look for bike-friendly paths that lead you to Skunk Harbor, which is about a mile from the main road.

If you are feeling adventurous and want to walk, start from the Sparks Marina. Head south towards the intersection of Marina Gateway and Pyramid Way. Cross over to Pyramid Way and continue south for about 2 miles. Then, turn left onto NV-659 (Lake Tahoe Boulevard) and walk for about 4 miles until you reach Glenbrook. From Glenbrook, it’s approximately a 2-mile walk to Skunk Harbor through the scenic trails. Be sure to follow the trail markers for Skunk Harbor.
