Getting There

• Public Bus

  Start at the Mesquite Transit Center, located at 100 W Mesquite Blvd. Board the Route 1 bus heading towards the Virgin Valley area. This route will take you towards Littlefield. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop closest to the Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area. From the bus stop, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile along Cedar Pocket Rd to reach the entrance of the park.

• Bicycle Rental

  If you enjoy cycling, rent a bicycle from a local shop in Mesquite. Start from the Strip in Mesquite and head southeast on E Pioneer Blvd. Follow the signs for the Virgin Valley area. After about 5 miles, turn onto Cedar Pocket Rd and continue for another 2 miles until you arrive at the Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area. Be cautious of traffic and wear a helmet.

• Walking

  If you prefer to walk, start from the center of Mesquite and head east on E Mesquite Blvd. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with N Sandhill Blvd. Turn right and follow N Sandhill Blvd until it becomes Cedar Pocket Rd. It’s approximately a 7-mile walk to the Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area, so be prepared for a long trek and bring plenty of water.

• Rideshare

  Use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Open the app and input 'Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area' as your destination. Make sure you are at a visible pickup point in Mesquite, such as the Mesquite Community Theatre. The ride will take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic, and drop you off near the entrance to the park.
