Car
If you're driving from the main area of Mount Charleston, start on NV-157 W (Lee Canyon Road). Head southwest on NV-157 for approximately 7 miles. You will pass through beautiful scenery, and keep an eye out for signs indicating the direction to Desert View Overlook. Continue straight until you reach the junction with NV-158. Turn left onto NV-158 (Deer Creek Road) and follow the road for another 2 miles until you see the Desert View Overlook parking area on your right. There is no fee for parking.
Public Transportation
Currently, there is limited public transportation available directly to Desert View Overlook. However, you can take a bus to the nearest bus stop in the Mount Charleston area. From there, you might need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to cover the remaining distance (approximately 2 miles) to Desert View Overlook.
