Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the center of Mount Charleston. Head south on NV-157 (also known as Kyle Canyon Road). After approximately 5 miles, turn left onto Cathedral Rock Picnic Upper Road. Drive for about 1 mile, and you will see the South Loop Trailhead parking area on your left. There are no entrance fees to access the trailhead.

    Currently, there is limited public transportation directly to the South Loop Trailhead in Mount Charleston. You can take a public bus to the nearest stop in Las Vegas, and then use a rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to travel to Mount Charleston.
