Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, head to US-395 N if you are coming from the south, or US-50 E if you are coming from the east. From US-395 N, take the exit toward US-50 W, and then continue on US-50 W. Follow the signs for Cave Rock State Park. The park is located at Hwy 50, Glenbrook, NV 89413. There is a parking fee of $10 per vehicle, so be sure to have cash or a credit card ready.

• Public Transportation

  Currently, public transportation options to Cave Rock State Park are limited. The nearest public transport options would be to take a Greyhound bus to South Lake Tahoe. From there, you can take a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft to reach the park. Expect to pay around $20-30 for the rideshare, depending on demand and your exact pickup location.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, biking to Cave Rock State Park is an option if you are already in the area. The ride from South Lake Tahoe to the park is approximately 15 miles. Take US-50 E from South Lake Tahoe and follow the same directions for cars. Ensure you have a good map or GPS, as the route can be tricky.

• Walking

  If you're staying nearby and want to walk, be aware that the park is not easily accessible on foot from distant locations. However, if you're in Glenbrook, you can walk to the park entrance along Hwy 50. Please ensure you're walking on the side of the road and take care as this is a busy highway.
