If you are traveling by car, start by getting onto US-395 N from your current location in Northern Nevada. Continue on US-395 N and take exit 66 for I-80 W toward Reno. Merge onto I-80 W and follow the signs for Reno. Take exit 13 for Virginia St toward downtown Reno. At the traffic light, turn left onto Virginia St. Continue on Virginia St for about 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Idlewild Dr, and you will find Idlewild Park at 2055 Idlewild Dr, Reno, NV 89509 on your left.

For those using public transportation, start your journey at the nearest bus stop to your location. You can use RTC Washoe's bus services. Check the RTC website for the most convenient route to reach the downtown Reno area. Once you arrive at the downtown transit center, you can catch Bus Route 5 (Virginia Line) which travels toward Idlewild Park. The ride will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Get off at the closest stop to Idlewild Dr, and walk a short distance to the park entrance.
