Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving from the central area of Ruby Mountains, head southeast on NV-227 S towards Elko. Continue on NV-227 S for about 30 miles until you reach Elko. Once in Elko, take the exit for I-80 W and merge onto the interstate. After about 2 miles, take exit 303 for Country Club Drive. At the end of the ramp, turn left onto Country Club Drive. Continue for about 1 mile, and Johnny Appleseed Park will be on your right.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Johnny Appleseed Park via public transportation, you will first need to find the nearest bus station in Ruby Mountains. Take a Greyhound or local bus service to Elko. Once in Elko, you can use local transit options, such as the Elko Transit, to get to Country Club Drive. Make sure to check the bus schedule ahead of time, as service may be limited. After arriving at a local stop on Country Club Drive, walk for about 10 minutes until you reach the park.

• Bicycle

  For those who prefer cycling, you can ride from Ruby Mountains to Johnny Appleseed Park. Take NV-227 S towards Elko. The total distance is approximately 30 miles, so be prepared for a longer ride. It is advisable to wear a helmet and follow all traffic regulations. Once you are in Elko, navigate to Country Club Drive and continue until you see the park entrance on your right.

• Walking

  If you're nearby and want to walk to Johnny Appleseed Park, head south on Country Club Drive from wherever you are located in Elko. Depending on your starting point, it may take some time to reach the park, so be sure to plan accordingly. Look for pedestrian paths along the way to ensure safety while walking.
