Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest town, Elko, NV. Head south on I-80 E for approximately 37 miles. Take exit 292 for US-93 S toward Twin Falls. Continue on US-93 S for about 45 miles, then turn left onto NV-229 S. Follow NV-229 S for approximately 29 miles until you reach Ruby Valley. From there, follow the signs to Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge. The refuge is located at Ruby Valley, NV 89833.

• Public Transportation

  For those relying on public transportation, take a Greyhound bus or a local shuttle to Elko, NV. From Elko, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to Ruby Lake National Wildlife Refuge, as there is no direct public transport to the refuge.
