  • Public Bus

    To reach the Carson City Historical Society from Sparks, start by heading to the nearest RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus stop. You can catch the Route 1 bus, which travels to Reno's downtown area. Once in downtown Reno, transfer to the Route 16 bus heading towards Carson City. After approximately 30 minutes, you will arrive at the Carson City stop. From there, walk north on Carson Street for about 0.5 miles until you reach the Carson City Historical Society at 1207 N Carson St.

    If you are in Sparks and prefer to walk, you can start from the Sparks Marina Park. Head southwest along Marina Gateway Drive until you reach E Prater Way. Turn right and continue until you reach N McCarran Blvd. Here, turn left and walk south until you reach the RTC bus terminal. Alternatively, from the terminal, you can take the bus as described above to Carson City.
