Take the bus toward Virginia City. Once you arrive in Virginia City, get off at the stop nearest to the main street. From there, walk south on S C St for about 5-10 minutes until you reach the museum, which will be on your left.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in Sparks. Head east on E Prater Way toward S McCarran Blvd. Continue on S McCarran Blvd until you see signs for Virginia City. Follow the bike-friendly route, which is mostly flat, and enjoy the scenic ride. Upon entering Virginia City, make your way to S C St and cycle south until you reach the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum, located at 537 S C St.
Walking
For those who enjoy walking, begin at the Sparks Marina Park. From the park, head east toward E Prater Way and follow it until you reach S McCarran Blvd. Turn right on S McCarran Blvd and continue walking until you see signs for Virginia City. This journey is approximately 10 miles and will take you through beautiful landscapes. Once you get into Virginia City, walk down S C St for about 10-15 minutes until you arrive at the Historic Fourth Ward School Museum, located at 537 S C St.
