    Getting There

    Public Bus

    From Sparks, head to the nearest bus stop and take the RTC RIDE bus towards Reno. You will need to transfer at the Reno Transit Center. Once there, catch the RTC RIDE bus number 19 heading to Kings Beach. The bus will take you directly to Kings Beach, CA. Make sure to check the schedule for the bus times to plan your trip accordingly.

    Bicycle

    If you enjoy cycling, you can rent a bike in Sparks. Start your journey by heading southwest on Victorian Avenue until you reach the Truckee River. Follow the bike path along the river towards Reno. Once in Reno, connect to the Tahoe-Pyramid Trail, which will lead you towards Kings Beach. This route is scenic but be prepared for a longer ride, approximately 30 miles.

    Walking

    Walking to Kings Beach from Sparks is quite a long distance and may not be practical. However, if you're up for a challenge, you can start at the Sparks Marina Park. Head south on Sparks Blvd, then follow the trail towards the Truckee River. Continue to follow the river trail towards Reno and then follow the marked paths leading towards Lake Tahoe. This will take several hours and is best suited for those who are very physically fit.
