Kiley Lake: A Serene Retreat in Sparks, Nevada

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in downtown Sparks, start by heading east on Victorian Avenue. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with 4th Street. Turn right onto 4th Street and walk for about 0.3 miles. You will then turn left onto E Street and continue for another 0.4 miles until you reach the intersection with 8th Street. Turn right onto 8th Street and walk for approximately 0.5 miles. As you reach the end of 8th Street, you will see Kiley Lake ahead on your left. The walk will take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.

• Biking

  For those who prefer biking, start at Sparks Marina Park. Head northeast along the bike path that runs parallel to the marina. Follow the path for about 1 mile until you reach the intersection with Sparks Boulevard. Turn left onto Sparks Boulevard and head north for about 0.5 miles. Turn right onto E Street and bike for another 0.4 miles. Finally, take a left onto 8th Street, and Kiley Lake will be on your right after another half-mile. The total biking time is approximately 15-20 minutes.

• Public Transport

  To reach Kiley Lake using public transportation, start by locating the nearest RTC (Regional Transportation Commission) bus stop. Take the RTC bus route that heads towards the Sparks Boulevard area. You will need to get off at the 'E Street' stop. From there, walk north along E Street for about 0.4 miles until you reach 8th Street. Turn left onto 8th Street, and Kiley Lake will be on your right after about another half-mile. The entire trip may take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on the bus schedule.
