Car
If you are driving, start from Nouméa, the capital of New Caledonia. Head southeast on Route de l'Anse Vata (D3) and continue to follow D3 for approximately 10 km. When you reach the roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto Route du Port (D6). After about 5 km, follow signs for 'Amédée Lighthouse' which will lead you to the marina where the taxi boats depart. Note that parking is available near the boat departure point.
Public Transportation
To reach Amédée Lighthouse using public transportation, take a bus from the Nouméa city center to the marina. Look for bus lines that head towards 'Baie de la Moselle.' The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the marina, you will need to purchase a ticket for the taxi boat to Amédée Lighthouse. The boat ride takes about 20-30 minutes, and the ticket price is typically around XPF 3,600 for a round trip.
Taxi Boat
Once at the marina, you will board a taxi boat that will take you directly to Amédée Lighthouse. Make sure to check the boat schedule in advance as departures may vary throughout the day. The boat ride offers scenic views of the surrounding waters and usually lasts between 20-30 minutes. It is recommended to confirm the return schedule as well, to ensure you have a ride back to the marina.
