Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Nouméa. Head southeast on Rue de la République toward Rue de l'Assemblée Nationale. Continue onto Route du Sud (N3) and follow the signs for Amedee Island. After about 15 km, take the exit toward Amedee Island. You will reach the parking area where you can leave your car. From there, you will need to take a taxi boat to the lighthouse.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Nouméa to the harbor where the taxi boats depart to Amédée Lighthouse. Look for the bus service that goes to Port Moselle, which is the main harbor in Nouméa. Once at the harbor, you can purchase a ticket for the taxi boat that takes you directly to Amédée Lighthouse. The boat ride takes about 30 minutes, and tickets typically cost around XPF 4,000 to XPF 6,000 (about USD 40 to 60). Ensure you check the boat schedule in advance, as they operate on specific times.
