Car
To reach Fort Teremba by car from Kouaoua, start by heading south on Route 1 (the main highway). Follow the signs for Nouméa and continue for approximately 30 kilometers. Once you reach the village of Mouidou, take the exit towards Fort Teremba, which is located just off the main road. The fort is well-signposted from the highway, making it easy to find. There is usually no parking fee at the site.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, catch a local bus from Kouaoua heading towards Nouméa. Ensure you check the bus schedule beforehand, as services may not be frequent. Once you reach Mouidou, ask the bus driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to Fort Teremba. From there, it is a short 15-minute walk to the fort, following the road signs. Be cautious of the traffic, as the roads can be busy.
