Car
If you are driving, start from the nearest major town, Pouébo, which is approximately 30 kilometers away. Head northeast on Route de la Côte, following the coastal road. Continue straight until you reach Poindimié. Once in Poindimié, look for signs directing you toward Îlot Tibarama. You will need to park your car at the public parking area near the beach. Note that parking may incur a small fee.
Public Transportation
From any location in North Province, you can take a bus to Poindimié. The local bus services operate several times a day, but schedules may vary, so check in advance. Once you arrive in Poindimié, you will need to take a short taxi ride to the beach area where you can access Îlot Tibarama. The taxi fare should be around 500 XPF (Pacific Franc) for the short distance.
Boat Transfer
After reaching the beach in Poindimié, you will need to arrange for a boat transfer to Îlot Tibarama. There are local operators that offer boat rides to the island. The cost for a round trip is approximately 1500 XPF per person. It’s advisable to book your transfer in advance to ensure availability.
