Getting there

Car

If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Hienghene. Head southeast on Route Territoriale 1 (RT1) towards RPN3. Continue on RT1 for approximately 12 kilometers. Look for signs indicating the direction to Point de vue Col d'Amos. The road leading to the viewpoint may be a bit narrow and winding, so drive carefully. There is no entry fee to access the viewpoint. Once you reach the designated parking area, you can walk to the viewpoint which is just a short distance away.

Public Transportation

For those relying on public transportation, take a local bus from the Hienghene bus station heading towards Koumac. Inform the driver that you wish to stop at Point de vue Col d'Amos. However, be aware that the bus may not stop directly at the viewpoint, so you may need to walk a short distance from the nearest bus stop. Check the bus schedule in advance as services may be limited. The fare for the bus is typically around 200-300 CFP (Pacific Francs).
