Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the main town of Ouvéa. Head south on Route de l'Aéroport towards the coast. Continue for about 15 minutes until you reach the intersection near the airport. Turn left onto the D28 road, which will lead you directly towards the beach area. Follow the signs for Plage de Peng. After approximately 10 minutes, you will see a sign for Plage de Peng; turn right and follow the road until you reach the beach. There is no parking fee, but please be mindful of the local regulations regarding parking.
Public Transportation
To reach Plage de Peng using public transportation, take a local bus from the main bus station in Ouvéa. Look for buses heading towards Hapetra. The bus ride typically takes around 30-40 minutes. Make sure to inform the driver that you are going to Plage de Peng, so they can drop you off at the closest stop. From there, you will have to walk a short distance (about 10 minutes) to reach the beach. Keep in mind that bus schedules may vary, so it's advisable to check the latest timetable ahead of your trip. The bus fare is usually around 200-300 XPF (New Caledonian Francs).
