Car
To reach Grande Terre from Tiga by car, head southwest on the main road (Route de Tiga) for approximately 5 kilometers until you reach the ferry terminal. From there, you will need to take a ferry to the main island of Grande Terre. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance, as departures may vary throughout the day. The ferry ride takes about 25 minutes and costs around 1,500 XPF (about 14 USD) per person. Once you arrive at Grande Terre, follow the signs to your desired destination on the island.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a local bus from Tiga to the ferry terminal. Buses typically run every hour, and you should confirm the schedule with your accommodation or local information center. The bus journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once at the ferry terminal, purchase your ticket for the ferry to Grande Terre. After arriving on Grande Terre, you can use local taxis or buses to reach specific locations on the island.
