Getting There

• Car

  If you have access to a car, start from the center of Tiga by heading southeast on Route des Moulins. Continue straight until you reach the junction with Route de l'Aéroport. Take a left turn onto Route de l'Aéroport and follow the road for about 10 kilometers. You will then reach a roundabout; take the second exit onto Route de Nouméa. Continue straight for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the suburb of Nouméa. From there, follow the signs to Ouen Toro, which is located to the east of Nouméa. The drive should take around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Ouen Toro using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Tiga to Nouméa. You can catch a bus from the main bus stop in Tiga. Ensure to check the bus schedule in advance as the frequency may vary. Once you arrive in Nouméa, disembark at the central bus station. From there, you can take Bus Line 1 towards Ouen Toro. This bus will take you closer to the mountain peak. The total journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, so be sure to plan accordingly. Additionally, keep some coins handy for bus fares, which typically cost around 300 CFP (XPF).

  For a more direct option, consider taking a taxi from Tiga to Ouen Toro. You can arrange for a taxi to pick you up from your location in Tiga. The trip will take approximately 30-40 minutes depending on traffic and will cost around 4,000 to 5,000 CFP (XPF). This is a convenient option if you're traveling in a group or have limited time.
