From the center of Exeter, head southeast on Water Street towards Epping Road. Continue straight onto Epping Road for about 0.5 miles. Take a left onto Route 101 East and follow it for approximately 3 miles. Continue onto Route 1A, which leads to New Castle. After about 1 mile, turn right onto Tabbutt Memorial Way, where Great Island Common Park is located. The park entrance will be on your left.

Start at the Exeter Town Hall bus stop. Board the COAST bus Route 6 towards Portsmouth. Stay on the bus for about 25 minutes, and get off at the stop near the intersection of Route 1A and Tabbutt Memorial Way. From there, walk a short distance down Tabbutt Memorial Way, and you will reach Great Island Common Park.

If you're renting a bicycle in Exeter, start from the downtown area and head southeast on Water Street. Continue onto Epping Road for about 0.5 miles and then take a left onto Route 101 East. Follow Route 101 for about 3 miles until you reach Route 1A. Turn right onto Route 1A, which will take you towards New Castle. After approximately 1 mile, turn right onto Tabbutt Memorial Way, and you will arrive at Great Island Common Park.
