Follow Route 1 north for approximately 8 miles until you reach Portsmouth. As you enter Portsmouth, follow signs for downtown. Market Square is located at the heart of downtown Portsmouth, easily recognizable by its historic buildings and vibrant atmosphere.

From Exeter, take the COAST Bus Route 2 towards Portsmouth. You can catch the bus at the Exeter Transportation Center. The bus will take you directly to Portsmouth. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at Market Square. The trip takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you get off the bus, you will be right in the center of Market Square, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and attractions.

If you prefer biking, start from the downtown Exeter area and head east on Water Street. Follow the same route as the walking directions, cycling along the Exeter River until you reach Route 108.
