    Begin at the Exeter Town Hall located at 10 Front St. Walk to the nearest bus stop on Water St. Catch the Route 55 bus that heads toward Salem, NH. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the Salem, MA stop at the intersection of Washington St and Main St. From there, transfer to the Route 450 bus heading toward the Salem Ferry Terminal. Get off at the ferry terminal, and you can find boat services that take you to Misery Islands.

  • Train and Ferry

    Start at the Exeter Train Station on Lincoln St. Board the Amtrak Downeaster train heading south towards Boston. Disembark at the Salem, MA train station. From there, walk towards the Salem Ferry Terminal, which is about a 15-minute walk down Washington St. Once at the ferry terminal, catch the ferry to Misery Islands. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance.

  • Walking and Ferry

    If you prefer a scenic route, you can walk from the center of Exeter to the ferry terminal in Salem. Head south on Front St, then turn left onto Water St, and continue until you reach Main St. Follow Main St south until you reach the train station.
