If you are traveling by car, start from any location in the Great North Woods region. Head south on NH-16 S towards the town of Salem. Continue on NH-16 S for about 40 miles until you reach the junction with I-93 S. Merge onto I-93 S and drive for approximately 10 miles. Take exit 1 for I-495 S toward Lawrence, MA. After about 5 miles, take exit 50 toward NH-28 S. Merge onto NH-28 S and continue for about 5 miles. Turn right onto Shadow Lake Rd. The Salem Town Forest will be on your right at 48 Shadow Lake Rd, Salem, NH 03079. There is no parking fee.
