Car
If you are driving from the Lakes Region area, take NH-104 E towards Tilton. Merge onto I-93 S toward Concord. Continue on I-93 S for approximately 20 miles. Take exit 15 toward US-3 N/Bow St. Keep right at the fork to continue on Exit 15, follow signs for US-3 N. Continue for about 1.5 miles, and turn right onto Institute Dr. The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center will be on your left at 2 Institute Dr, Concord, NH 03301. There is parking available on-site, and it’s free of charge.

To reach the McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center via public transportation, you can take a Concord Coach Lines bus from various locations in the Lakes Region to Concord. Check their schedule for exact departure times. Once you arrive at the Concord bus terminal, you can take a taxi or rideshare service (like Uber or Lyft) to the Discovery Center, which is about a 10-minute drive from the terminal. Expect to pay around $15-$20 for the taxi fare.

If you're feeling adventurous, biking from nearby areas in the Lakes Region can be a fun option. The center is approximately 20 miles from Lake Winnipesaukee. You would ride along NH-11 E to meet up with US-3 N, which leads directly to Concord. Be sure to wear a helmet, and consider the traffic on the roads. There’s a bike rack available at the Discovery Center.
