If you're driving from the central Lakes Region area, take NH-11 East towards Alton Bay. Continue on NH-11 to merge onto US-4 East. Follow US-4 until you reach the exit for NH-101 East towards Exeter. Once on NH-101, take exit 11 for NH-27 toward Exeter. Merge onto NH-27 and follow it until you reach Governors Lane. Turn left onto Governors Lane, and the American Independence Museum will be on your left at 1 Governors Ln, Exeter, NH 03833. Parking is available on-site.

To reach the American Independence Museum using public transportation, start by taking the bus from your current location in Lakes Region to Concord, NH. You can use the Concord Coach Lines service to get to Concord. From Concord, transfer to the C&J Bus Lines service towards Portsmouth and get off at the Exeter stop. From the Exeter bus station, it is about a 15-minute walk to the museum. Head south on Epping Rd toward Exeter and then turn right onto NH-27. Continue on NH-27 and turn left onto Governors Lane, where the museum is located.
