Getting There

Car

If you are driving from North Conway, take NH-16 North for about 10 miles. Turn left onto NH-302 West and continue for approximately 6 miles. Then, turn right onto Mount Washington Auto Road. Follow this road until you reach the Sherman Adams Building, where the Mount Washington Observatory is located. Note that there is a toll to access the Mount Washington Auto Road, which is approximately $30 for a vehicle.
Public Transportation

From North Conway, take the Valley Explorer shuttle (seasonal service) to the Glen Junction area. From there, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Mount Washington Auto Road. This is about a 10-minute drive. Be aware that the shuttle service may not operate daily, so check the schedule in advance.
