Car
If you are driving from North Conway, take NH-16 North for about 10 miles. Turn left onto NH-302 West and continue for approximately 6 miles. Then, turn right onto Mount Washington Auto Road. Follow this road until you reach the Sherman Adams Building, where the Mount Washington Observatory is located. Note that there is a toll to access the Mount Washington Auto Road, which is approximately $30 for a vehicle.

Public Transportation
From North Conway, take the Valley Explorer shuttle (seasonal service) to the Glen Junction area. From there, you will need to arrange a taxi or rideshare service to take you to Mount Washington Auto Road. This is about a 10-minute drive. Be aware that the shuttle service may not operate daily, so check the schedule in advance.

For the adventurous, you can hike to Mount Washington Observatory. Start at the Pinkham Notch Visitor Center, located on NH-16. Follow the Tuckerman Ravine Trail, which is about 4.2 miles long and can take 3-5 hours depending on your pace. This trail is steep and challenging, so be prepared for a strenuous hike. Be sure to check weather conditions and trail reports before you go.
