Car
If you are traveling by car, head towards Mount Washington Auto Road from your current location in Mount Washington. The road is well-marked and leads directly to the tip of the mountain. Follow the road until you reach the entrance of Mount Washington Auto Road. There is a toll fee of approximately $30 per vehicle to access the road. Continue up the Auto Road, following the signs until you reach the parking area near Tip Top House. From the parking area, it’s a short walk to Tip Top House.
Public Transportation
If you prefer to use public transportation, start by taking a bus to Gorham or Jackson. From either town, you can take a local shuttle service that operates during the tourist season to Mount Washington Auto Road. Make sure to check the shuttle schedule in advance, as they may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the entrance of Mount Washington Auto Road, you will need to pay the $30 toll fee to access the road. The shuttle may also drop you off at the parking area near Tip Top House, from where it's a short walk to the site.
Hiking
For adventurous travelers, hiking to Tip Top House is a popular option. If you are already in the vicinity, you can start your hike from the base of Mount Washington.
