Take the exit toward Route 1 Bypass/Portsmouth. Keep left to merge onto US-1 Bypass S. Continue on this road, and follow signs for Downtown Portsmouth. Once you enter the downtown area, turn left onto Hancock St. The Strawbery Banke Museum will be on your left at 14 Hancock St.

From the Dover Transportation Center, take the C&J Bus Lines service to Portsmouth. The bus will take you directly to the Portsmouth Bus Station. Upon arrival, exit the bus and walk south on Islington St. for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Hancock St. Turn left onto Hancock St. The Strawbery Banke Museum will be about a 10-minute walk ahead on your left at 14 Hancock St.
