Getting There

  If you are traveling by car, start on the Appalachian Trail near the nearest access point, and make your way to the nearest major road. Follow signs to the Palisades Interstate Parkway. Take the Palisades Interstate Parkway North and continue until you reach Exit 3 for Alpine. Follow the exit ramp and turn right onto Closter Dock Road. Continue straight, and you will find the entrance to Palisades Interstate Park on your left. Note that parking may require a fee, so be prepared for potential costs.

• Public Transportation

  For those using public transportation, first take a NJ Transit train or bus to the nearest station in the area, such as the Edgewater Ferry Terminal or the Fort Lee Bus Terminal. From either terminal, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach Palisades Interstate Park, as public transit options may not directly connect to the park.
