From the Appalachian Trail, head to the nearest major road and find your way to the Palisades Interstate Parkway (PIP). If you are in the northern section of the Appalachian Trail, take Route 17 South to reach the PIP. Follow the PIP South until you see the exit for Alpine, NJ. Take the exit and follow signs for Palisades Interstate Park. The park entrance is located at Alpine, NJ 07620.

If you are not driving, you can take public transportation to reach Palisades Interstate Park. Start by taking a train from a nearby station on the NJ Transit line to Hoboken Terminal.
